Joeramass Supported Living

Joeramass Supported Living provides accommodation, care & support for those leaving care aged 16 years to 25 years old.

We are focused and passionate about improving the care, support and outcomes for young people transitioning to independent living. We pride ourselves providing a high standard of services in all aspects of accommodation, care and support provisions to meet individual needs on person-centred basis.

We offer a fully furnished shared Semi-Independent accommodation with on-site 24hr staff support and 24hr CCTV cover, for various different types of client groups, ranging from:

Joeramass Supported Living provides a resource for four young people aged between 16-25 years of age, who are provided accommodation by the Local Authority. We are person-centred service with an emphasis on enabling service users who have been diagnosed with special needs such as people with Autism from mild to moderate learning disabilities and mental health and/or cognitive impairment. Service users may have learning disabilities such as Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, Down’s Syndrome or other non-specified, learning difficulties The aim of the service is to help individuals learn what it means to live appropriately in the community and become citizens who make a positive contribution to society.

 

Joeramass Supported Living accepts young people from diverse religious, cultural, ethnic and sexuality backgrounds including those of “Asylum-seeking” status.Joeramass Supported Living works in partnership with Social Workers, families, and therapeutic services to assist the individuals placed in our care to reach their full potential Joeramass Supported Living also offers respite care as well as semi-independent training and works with the service user based on their individual needs.

 

This is achieved through group and individual discussions, sharing experiences, helping each person to respect the other and accepting the responsibilities for their actions and providing therapeutic supported as required. The staff will ensure that everyone is made aware that they are cared for and valued through boundaries set within their safety and their presenting behaviours and the staff make it their mission to persevere in trying to help them.

 

Those who come to Joeramass Supported Living stay with us until they are ready to live independently and care for themselves appropriately. Joeramass SupportedLiving is a large family style house situated close to bus and local train routes, local shops and a local shopping centre is only a few minutes away
